Presentations

In the spirit of Gentle Science and Tempo giusto, your audience asks you to adhere to the limited time available for individual presentations, and to encourage the extended communication in stimulating discussions.
Bioblast would like to encourage the senior scientists to:
  • Think big and deep - with mitochondrial competence,
  • Provocative, perhaps a blend of experimental/theoretical and published/unpublished,
  • Across borderlines, beyond the limits of our present experimental evidence.
  • Historical perspective that projects into the future.
  • Start and end with a simple message that will stick to many minds in and beyond the audience - the message beyond your abstract.
  • Don't be afraid of critical comments.
Bioblast wants the junior scientists to:
  • Focus on experimental results - with mitochondrial competence.
  • Present data with a critical mind.
  • Don't be afraid of challenging what may be merely dogmatic textbook knowledge.
  • Start with a question and end with a clear message (or a clear question) - the message beyond your abstract.
  • Don't be afraid of constructive comments.

Bioblast 2012 hosted by OROBOROS INSTRUMENTS

The O2k-Team hopes that the Bioblast Conference will be an explicit statement on the value and high quality of cooperation between the OROBOROS MiPNet Reference Laboratories who contributed to the world-wide success of high-resolution respirometry. Your feedback is most valuable to us.
  • OROBOROS and High-Resolution Respirometry
2012- this year: Houska Award and O2k-Fluorescence LED2-Module
2002- 10 years O2k
1992- 20 years high-resolution respirometry
  • OROBOROS MiPNet Reference Laboratories: As an appreciation of your cooperation, OROBOROS INSTRUMENTS invites a delegate of your research group to join the Bioblast Conference free of charge. According to our CSR-strategy, we stay away from ‘low-value advertisements’ to stimulate the flow of high-quality information. Our priorities focus on communication rather than diverting support away to Madison Avenue advertising. Any support by the participants is greatly appreciated.
