Oct: Octanoyl carnitine (DL-Octanoyl-carnitine-HCL, C15H30NO4Cl); TOCRIS Bioscience, Cat. No. 0605, 50 mg, store at R.T, desiccate); FW = 323.85.
Caution: Chemicals stored in the fridge or freezer should be allowed to reach room temperature before opening.
Preparation of 100 mM stock solution (dissolved in H2O):
- 1) weigh 32.4 mg of octanoyl carnitine and dissolve in 1 ml H2O
- 2) divide into 0.2 ml portions
- 3) store frozen at -20 °C.
