E-L coupling efficiency

Description

The biochemical coupling efficiency is expressed as the E-L coupling control factor, Ξ”jE-L=(E-L)/E, which is 0.0 at zero coupling (L=E; LEAK=ETS capacity) and 1.0 at the limit of a fully coupled system (L=0). Compare with the thermodynamic efficiency of coupling between ATP production (DT phosphorylation) and oxygen consumption (ergodynamic efficiency). > MiPNet article

Abbreviation: Ξ”jE-L
