Example
A car dataset consists of 3 entries:
- Car A
- Car B
- Car C
For each of those cars the dataset includes information about the attributes:
- length
- weight
- color
The car names together with the attributes represent one dataset. A database can consist of several datasets. The car dataset could look like this:
name | length[m] | weight[kg] | color |
---|---|---|---|
Car A | 4.5 | 1234 | blue |
Car B | 3.2 | 879 | red |
Car C | 5.0 | 1000 | blue |
Terminology questions
- What is an experiment? Do we have to re-define the term 'experiment', or distinguish various modalities in using the term?

- In order to avoid confusion I changed the given example of a dataset. It was not a well chosen example.
