MitoEAGLE Short-Term Scientific Mission

Work Plan summary
I am junior Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathophysiology – Functional Sciences at the ’Victor Babes’’ University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara, RO and PhD student under the coordination of Prof. Danina Muntean, MD PhD with a topic addressing mitochondrial dysfunction in peripheral blood cells in patients with hematologic malignancies. Furthermore, I am resident in Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at the Emergency Hospital for Children `Louis Turcanu” Timisoara, RO. The STSM mobility I am applying for will allow me to gather both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the emerging field of blood cells high-resolution respirometry. This mobility will contribute to the scientific objectives of of the Working Group 1 (Standard operating procedures and user requirement documentation) and Working Group 4 (MITO EAGLE data repository for blood cells), respectively of the COST Action.
