Choline dehydrogenase

Description

Choline dehydrogenase (EC 1.1.99.1) is bound to the inner mt-membrane, oxidizes choline in kidney and liver mitochondria, with electron transfer into the Q-junction, and is thus part of the ET-pathway. Analogous to succinate dehydrogenase (CII), electron transfer from choline dehydrogenase is FAD-linked downstream to Q. Choline is an ET-pathway substrate types 3.
